Selected in vineyard. Whole grape pre-fermentative maceration is done over low temperature. Kept at low temperature during de-stemming and barreling. Skin-contact maceration for 7 days. Racked in stainless steel tanks where MLF is done. Aged for 11 months in tanks. Stays in bottle for 3-4 months.

Tasting notes:

Bright cherry coloured, liliaceous edge. Fresh stone fruits bouquet; balsamic, dry stone, smoky, fruity expression. Fresh, fruity and structured.


Galician style octopus, vegetables, soft meat stews, and Galician stew. Omelettes, roasted peppers. Barbecued meats. Pasta and rices.

Serving: Temperature: 14 – 16º C.

Varieties: Sousón, Caiño Longo y Brancellao.

The Winery:

Bodegas Casal de Armán was founded at the end of the 90s, but it belongs to the fourth generation of a family who has been making Ribeiro wines since the 19th century. The pillars that support the Casal de Armán project are excitement, hard work, and a great passion for wine.

The right premises to develop the project were needed, so the restoration of the old 18th century court started when the González Vázquez family purchased the property. It took them eight years of hard work to completely refurbish it. Nowadays it houses a cosy countryside hotel, a traditional Galician restaurant, and the winery.

The winery is attached to the old house. Built after the Galician architecture tradition, this winery's premise is to combine the simplicity of stone and noble wood with the most modern technology and machinery for the preparation of wine: stainless steel tanks, pneumatic presses, stem removing machines, temperature control devices, etc.
