The kidney bean, long bean, or cannellini bean is one of the most highly-demanded worldwide. It has an elongated oval shape, is white, and of medium size. Once cooked, kidney beans provide a delicious meal with their very smooth skin and medium hardness, along with their buttery, soft texture.

Legumes are a complete food as they provide protein, fiber, minerals, and vitamins, all while being low in fat. It is recommended to consume them two or three times a week.

Due to hygienic and quality reasons, we have vacuum-packed these legumes. It is the perfect way to preserve food as it keeps its properties intact, protects its smell and flavor, and prevents the product from absorbing humidity or odors.

Preparation Tips:

Wash with cold water and soak from 8 to 12 hours. If the water is very alkaline, as it is likely to be in coastal areas, mineral water may be used for soaking and cooking as well.

Add the ingredients for seasoning (leek, carrots, garlic, peppers, onions and cold cuts or meat: bacon, sausage, ribs...) and boil. Cooking ought to be slow and continuous for approximately 2 hours in a casserole dish, and the water should at no time be allowed to boil all the way off. When using a pressure cooker, it takes between 50 and 60 minutes.
