Olivares del Derramador extra-virgin olive oil is harvested early in the season, just before the pre-ripening of the fruit, when a very low oil yield is achieved in proportion to the weight of the olive. In exchange, the oil gains an aroma and tasteful nuances which set it apart from oils harvested later in the season.

A very healthy product results, one recommended by experts due to the demonstration that olive oil reduces cholesterol and the risk of heart attack. Among many other positive qualities, olive oil prevents mental deterioration and regenerates tissues and organs.

Tasting Note: Fruity olive taste with predominant notes of apple, ripe pear, green banana, etc. It’s fluid, sweet, bitter, and spicy on the tongue, all the while remaining light and balanced. A fruity aftertaste reminiscent of the smell remains, along with a hint of artichoke and green banana. 0.14% acidity.

Ingredients: Extra-virgin olive oil (57%), white wine vinegar (19%), mustard (19%), water, mustard flour, vinegar, sugar, salt, caramelized sugar, spices, herbs, stabilizer: cane sugar, honey, garlic powder, sea salt, granulated garlic, herbs.

Container: Glass container with white lacquer, 500 mL.

Shake and spread an appropriate quantity.

Culinary Uses:

Because of its unique characteristics, we recommend using this olive oil alone, in soft marinades, sauces, pastry dough, cold creams, dressings, etc. This oil will improve the flavor of any dish, whether meat, fish, or vegetables.

This is an extra-virgin olive oil from Pago, meaning all of its olives come from the well-known estate of El Derramador, whose property dates from the middles of the 18th century. Here the first priority is always to do strict field work with responsible cultivation in order to achieve an impeccable product, using natural fertilizers yet utilizing the most recent practices. With a profound respect for water quality, the water used for irrigation is even potable, obtained from up to 120 meters and coming from the mountain range north of the estate.  The objective: prepare the best extra-virgin olive oil by means of controlled irrigation and the optimization of natural resources in order to benefit the sustainability of the system.

09/23/2014 Manuela F. Himmlisch Bin schon lange auf der suche nach einem Spitzenprodukt. Verwende es vorallem bei kalten Tellern, so wie Salate etc.
