The stuffed squid in its own ink from conservas cambados is considered a tasty artisan seafood and will satisfy even the most rigorous consumer. After a strict selection, a careful washing method and a meticulous cooking process, the limited production squids are canned by hand one by one. This careful artisan processing method together with the naturalness of the product is the key to its delicate but solid texture.

Nutritional value:

The chipiron is a good source of protein and low in fat. It's rich in vitamins B12, B3, iron and selenium, and all of this makes it appropriate for vegetarian athletes.

Ingredients: Squid, sunflower oil, tomato, onion, wine, ink, salt and spices.

Packaging: Tin with mesh presentation.

Net Weight 111 gr, 72 gr drained, 6-8 pieces

Culinary uses:

Almost all year long, young squid known as chipirones are caught. These mollusks have taken a special place in our diet, along with other excellent dishes like kokotxas, marmitako, and txangurro (crab).

We recommend them as an appetizer, heating them in a water bath and eating them as they come in the can. They combine perfectly with a bowl of rice, potatoes or pasta. We also advise presenting them on a bed of caramelized onions.

Conservas Cambados is located in the Ria de Arousa, famed for the size and abundance of its sealife. This lake favors the cultivation of bivalves such as clam and cockles or shellfish such as mussels which are grown in floating nurseries called "rafts". The careful selection of the best raw materials from the Galician Rias and the traditional process of preparation makes this artisan product very notable in its quality.
