The world's most appetizing Cockles are grown in the Rias Baixas of Galicia, known for the extraordinary quality of their seafood. Conservas Cambados, located in the Ria de Arousa, offers this delicious can with sea flavor and very tasty meat. The cockles are scrubbed with sea water to avoid losing their characteristic taste and are packed by hand.

Cockles have a typically briny taste. Canned cockles have a high nutritional value, just like other canned shellfish. They stand out for being high in protein and very low in fat. They also contain minerals like calcium, iodine, magnesium, and iron. Cockles are also a source of vitamins like retinol, thiamine and riboflavin. They are therefore a food of great nutritional value and come highly recommended for healthy, balanced diets.


Conservas Cambados is located in the Ria de Arousa, famed for the size and abundance of its sealife. This lake favors the cultivation of bivalves such as clam and cockles or shellfish such as mussels which are grown in floating nurseries called "rafts". The careful selection of the best raw materials from the Galician Rias and the traditional process of preparation makes this artisan product very notable in its quality.
