These hams are made following the same rigorous quality controls certified hams of Denomination of Origin Dehesa de Extremadura undergo, but since they are not certified by the agency, their price is more affordable. Here at Hola Gourmet, the savings in the certification process may reduce the final price, but never the quality; the development and maturation process is, in fact, identical.


Iberian bellota ham comes from those animals that are slaughtered immediately after the final fattening period (montanera) in which they feed on a grass and acorn based diet in oak and cork meadows. In this stage, the animal will put on up to 60% of its initial weight.

The Taste of Tradition

Extremaduran hams are known and respected in the food distribution sector, with demand frequently outstripping supply. This is due in part to the fact that recognition has come from food critics and famous chefs alike, both of whom have praised the many superb qualities of purebred Iberian hams. 

A Very Healthy Pleasure

According to scientifically controlled studies, products from acorn-fed Iberian pigs not only do not increase cholesterol, they actually decrease the levels of harmful cholesterols. This is thanks to the composition of mono-unsaturated fatty acids and other compounds provided by the breed of pig, as well as the rearing and fattening system.

Ingredients: Iberian ham and salt.

Presentation: cloth cover and ham box (cardboard)

Store in a dry (Humidity: 65-70%) and cool (15-20° C) place.

Consume within 9 months.
