This Iberian ham with Designation of Origin Dehesa de Extremadura is made from purebred Iberian pigs and artisanally cured for 36 months in the air of the Sierra de Montanchez.

The color of this excellent product ranges from pink to purplish red, and is marbled with intramuscular fat. It tastes juicy, melts in your mouth, and  has a quality which cannot be surpassed.

These pigs consume a diet of acorns and grass in the meadows of Extremadura during the montanera, the final period of fattening. They are fed with authorized, quality food, especially grains, legumes and natural grass from the meadows (Dehesa). They graze at any time and live under the highest quality conditions.

The Denomination of Origin "Dehesa de Extremadura"

Dehesa de Extremadura only sells Iberian hams that are protected by the Denomination of Origin Dehesa de Extremadura. It is the strictest regulatory board in the industry and it follows all the rules established by the D.O. which make our hams the best available on the market.

This is thanks to the composition of mono-unsaturated fatty acids and other compounds provided by the breed of pig, as well as the rearing and fattening system. By eating hams with PDO "Dehesa de Extremadura," you not only enjoy a healthy food that tastes good, you also contribute to the preservation of an ecosystem that's one-of-a-kind in the world: La Dehesa.

Presentation: cloth cover and ham box (cardboard)

Store in a dry (Humidity: 65-70%) and cool (15-20 ° C) place.

Consume within 9 months.
