Information:

Grapes are selected in the vineyard before the cold maceration of the entire grape. This is followed by a pneumatic pressing and the separation of musts. Naturally strained and fermented at low temperature in stainless steel tanks. Stabilized for 9 months in vats until bottled in June/July.

Tasting notes:

Appearance: Straw-yellow coloured and very bright, with greenish gleam and glycerol consistency.

Aroma: Medium-intensity aromas of white flowers, fennel, small season stone fruits, litchis, peach notes, balsamic, and spring water.

Palate: Tasty, fresh, unctuous, and structured. Exotic fruit scents, grapefruit, fresh herbs, mint and a perfectly integrated acidity along with a final aftertaste.

Marriage:

Cooked or grilled seafood such as fish, Galician Hake, rice with seafood, etc.

Serving: Temperature: 8 – 9º C.

Region: Valle del Avia – D.O. Ribeiro.

Varieties: Treixadura 90%, Godello 5%, Albariño 5%.

Vol: 13,5 %

The Winery:

Bodegas Casal de Armán was founded at the end of the 90s, but it belongs to the fourth generation of a family who has been making Ribeiro wines since the 19th century. The pillars that support the Casal de Armán project are excitement, hard work, and a great passion for wine.

The right premises to develop the project were needed, so the restoration of the old 18th century court started when the González Vázquez family purchased the property. It took them eight years of hard work to completely refurbish it. Nowadays it houses a cosy countryside hotel, a traditional Galician restaurant, and the winery.

The winery is attached to the old house. Built after the Galician architecture tradition, this winery's premise is to combine the simplicity of stone and noble wood with the most modern technology and machinery for the preparation of wine: stainless steel tanks, pneumatic presses, stem removing machines, temperature control devices, etc.
