Information:

White wine made using Albariño variety using selected grapes from vines which are older than 25 years. Fermented at a low temperature, it is kept in vats on lees for 6 months applying the battonage technique. This is a long maturing vat wine.

A wine with many awards, 90 points in the Robert Parker guide and 91 in the Peñin guide.

Wine tasting:

Appearance: Intense straw-yellow colour.

Aroma: Attractive aroma of ripe fruit, jammy pear, apple, and fine lees.

Palate: Full and complex palate with intense and lingering finish.

Variety: Albariño

Serving temperature: Serve at 11-13 ºC

Marriage:

Goes perfectly with white meats, semicured cheeses, fish, and seafood.

Winery:

The area Adegas Valtea sits in a special microclimate that allows the grape to reach the necessary ripeness in order to make a quality wine.

The old vines – most of them are over 30 years old - are fondly taken care of, which unfortunately  makes the production more limited, but also guarantees quality. Technology and planning are also fundamental in the winery for the excellence of the final product.
