Information:

One of the tastiest and most recognized delicacies of Galicia  along with wine and seafood is the octopus, both because of its variety and for the many delicious ways to prepare it. Conservas Cambados presents this tasty octopus preserved a traditional Galician sauce, at the peak of its tastiness and firmness. After a strict selection and a careful washing and steaming process, it is packed by hand one by one.

A true delicacy from the sea of Galicia.

Ingredients: Octopus, vegetable oil, onion, spanish pimentón, natural aromas and salt.

Preparation:

In Galicia they traditionally prepare octopus on a wooden plate. To taste this extraordinary preserve, we recommend warming it up slightly and adding a bit of paprika or a little spice.

To complete the dish, add boiled potatoes as a side dish seasoned with extra virgin olive oil and a little salt.

It is an ideal complement to salads and pasta dishes, fish, and rice.

Octopus, like other mollusks, is a food of high nutritional value. It has a protein content similar to beef and is easily digestible. In comparison to other seafood, its fat and cholesterol content is very low.

Octopus contains a considerable amount of vitamins, mostly vitamin A, which helps bone and muscle growth, fights infections, prevents cancer, and maintains tissue lining.

Conservas Cambados is located in the Ria de Arousa, famed for the size and abundance of its sealife. This lake favors the cultivation of bivalves such as clam and cockles or shellfish such as mussels which are grown in floating nurseries called "rafts".
