Seaweed Tartar in brine is a sauce made with very finely chopped sea vegetables. This innovative product blends cultures through the flavour of the sea.

It is eaten as a snack, on toast, as a salad dressing, or to season seafood or meat dishes. Seaweed Tartar goes well with pasta or rice dishes, too.

Information:

Natural seaweed tartare is made by cutting Galician seaweed in small pieces that are mixed with gherkins and capers. Don't be afraid of bringing the garden of the sea to your table!

Culinary Uses:

Its uses in the kitchen are manifold: by itself on toast or in sandwiches; with smoked seafood or meat or asparagus; in cold pasta, tomato sauce or tomato and mozzarella salads; mixed with mayonnaise and yolks for deviled eggs; as a garnish for seafood or meat.

Nutritional value:

It is high in protein and fiber, low in fat and does not contain sugar.

Minerals: Iodine (I), calcium (Ca), iron (Fe), magnesium (Mg), source of phosphorus (P) and zinc (Zn).

Ingredients: Different varieties of seaweed (46%), extra virgin olive oil, vegetable oil, cucumber, onion, capers and salt.

Where does seaweed grow and how is it harvested?

The seaweed from PORTO-MUÍÑOS grows on rocks covered by the cold, clean water of the Atlantic Ocean. The harvesting is done by divers, who select and cut the best specimens in the most appropriate season for each species. The seaweed is then processed immediately.
