Information:

This sauce from Porto Muiños is made by cutting Galician seaweed in small amounts and mixing it with the ingredients typical of the famous sauce from Argentina. Surprise your guests by mixing this traditional sauce with a unique sea flavor into barbecue meat.

Culinary uses:

It is eaten with meat, fish, or grilled seafood and is very popular on barbecue. Ideal topping for potatoes and steamed, boiled, grilled, or baked vegetables. It gives a special touch to salads and is ideal to accompany smoked salmon or boiled seafood. Delicious in a tomato and mozzarella salad.

Nutritional value:

High in protein and fiber. Low in fat and does not contain sugar.

Minerals: Iodine (I), calcium (Ca), iron (Fe), magnesium (Mg), source of phosphorus (P) and zinc (Zn).

Ingredients: Different varieties of seaweed, extra virgin olive oil, vegetable oil, cider vinegar, jerez vinegar, garlic, salt, oregano, parsley and a variety of other spices. All ingredients are organically produced.

Where does seaweed grow and how is it harvested?

The seaweed from PORTO-MUÍÑOS grows on rocks covered by the cold, clean water of the Atlantic Ocean. The harvesting is done by divers, who select and cut the best specimens in the most appropriate season for each species. The seaweed is then processed immediately.
